My favorite healthy snacks

Some of my friends contacted me to know how I got my body back. If you are struggling with weight loss, I have tips for you.

I didn’t go to the gym to loose weight but I made sure to eat right. That money I was supposed to pay for that service can be used to eat right and get the same result. Yes, even a better result. But actually, I paid for a 6 months gym membership but ended up going there 4 or 5 times before I gave up. My aim is not to discourage you from using a gym, rather I am giving you my own strategy. Instead of going to the gym, I took long walks to school and enjoyed climbing or running down the staircase. To stay healthy and achieve my aim, what did I do?

1. So instead of biscuits and candies, try eating nuts (not cashew nuts ooo). There are other types of nut. As for me, I ate more of Brazil nuts, almonds and walnuts. Brazil nuts are filled with health-boosters like magnesium, copper, potassium, zinc and riboflavin.  Walnuts help with mouth odour so if you have mouth odour or know someone that have the problem, buy them walnuts and thank me later. So when I feel like eating chocolates, another plate of food or unnecessary food, I eat my nuts which I had handy all the time. I have some very close to my bedside, in my handbags and in the kitchen. And I made sure to stock up nuts whenever I go shopping for food.
2. Drink lots of water every day. Drinking water is very good. I wake up in the morning, brush my teeth and the next thing I grab is my glass of water. I kept a small bottle of water very close to my bedside and on my reading table. I made sure that I have a bottle of water in my handbag also. I drink like every 2-3 hours. I don’t drink because water is sweet but because I want to maintain a good body weight. I don’t drink ice water, or ice blocks, just water from the tap or in a room temperature.

3. Cut down on sugary drinks, beverages, ice cream, cakes, candy etc. My sugar intake was zero. I don’t joke with ice cream, chocolates and cakes. I have sweet tooth like that. I can consume all consumables lol.

But immediately I made up my mind to lose the body weight, I replaced them with fruits (apples, strawberries, watermelons, tangerine, oranges, mangoes). I invest in fruits. I made sure that whatever I cook must contain one vegetable (fruit or leaf).

So if you ready to get back to that shape you want, let’s do it. I can’t believe that I’m wearing extra small size clothes again.

You can do it only if you are determined. Just cut down on your food intake.

I invited a woman to my house last week to make my hair and we started having a conversation. When she asked me how old I was, I told her but she didn’t believe me. I asked her and she replied that I looked like a 20-year-old girl. I laughed ehhhh. 20 years? But I was happy with her compliments and it reminded me how important it is to take care of my body.
