Kiehl’s Facial Care Products Review

Kiehl’s facial care products

Taking care of the face is very important, it entails finding the right facial care products for your skin tone and skin colour. Using the wrong products may leave your face in a bad state. I had problems with face while I was in Nigeria. I kept visiting different ‘dermatologist’ in Wuse Market, Abuja. On my many visits to the skin care experts, I was given different facial products to ‘try’, try this one today, then this another day. Those creams ended up turning my face like a cloth of many colours, hahaha! End of story, I had blemishes, pimples, discoloration, burns and patches on my face. When I moved abroad, I visited Ahlens Shopping mall in Stockholm. That day, a Kiehl’staff convinced me to try their product after seeing the state of my face, I was reluctant at first, but am happy that I made up my mind to try their products and I don’t regret it. So, below are the products that I use and how I use them.

L’Oréal Paris Skin-Perfecting Purifying Gel Wash

Step 1: I wash my face with the Luna Foreo for combination skin face scrub brush and the L’Oreal Paris Skin-Perfecting Purifying Gel Wash. I make sure to scrub all corners of my nose and face in a horizontal and circular gentle motion to cleanse my skin. This can take 10-15minutes.

Step 2: I rinse my face with a warm water and dab the face with a clean dry towel. Dry the face by patting in gently with the towel, Don’t be rough while drying the face. Apply the Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque on the clean face and allow it to dry. Wear it for 10-15 minutes also. The masque has a minty and calming feeling which leaves a relieving feeling to your face.

Step 3: Warm off the masque with your finger, gently massage the masque off the face. Next use a soft face sponge with a warm water to rinse your face. Use your cotton wool and dab into the Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner to cleanse your face. Remember to do this gently, your face is delicate so you have to take care of it with care.

Step 4: I apply the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Serum under my eye to prevent puffiness and eye bags. It also helps to brighten the under eye not lighten! Not lighten! The product doesn’t lighten the under eye. I then dab the Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Spot Treatment into the little black spots on my face. I have used this product for a long time and the results is overwhelming.

Step 5: I apply the Kiehl’s Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream on my face. I massage it into the face until it disappears from the face. Next is to apply the Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector Primer onto the face, massaging it gently into the face also. You can use this as your makeup primer, especially if you have an oily face. I use it as my makeup primer, but it doesn’t make the foundation to stay on for longer hours like 5-8 hours.

Finally, to keep the lips supple, fresh and healthy, I use the Carmex moisturising lip balm on my lips. I have used this lip balm for awhile, it is handy and safely kept in my small purse. I use it often because of the minty feeling that warms up the lips.
