A Masquerade in Stockholm

The Igbo Community in Stockholm last month celebrated their Igbo day. It was an event meant to bring together all Igbo men, women and children living in Stockholm and also friends and colleagues.
Igbo people are from the South Eastern part of Nigeria. They are people from Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo and some parts of Delta speaking Igbos in the country.
They live in most parts of the world, there is no country in the world that you don’t find Igbo people living, working or doing business.
So they trooped out in number during the event to celebrate the New Yam festival. There were masquerade parade,  cultural songs and dance performed by the men, food to eat and a lot to drink.
In my next post, I will tell you more about the New Yam festival and more on Masquerading in Igbo culture and traditions.
😘😄 I am a hardcore Igbo girl.
