Arranging your Student housing in Sweden

Before making plans to come for study here first make sure you arrange for an accommodation so you don’t have to be stranded or paying huge hotel bills. For students who will study in Falun campus, make sure you talk or send emails to Kopparstaden Bristen. They have nice rooms for students and you will also get to meet many international students from different countries and continents.

First of all when you get your admission letter, send a copy to Kopparstaden AB in Bristen and when they confirm that you have been admitted for study here in Dalarna University, Falun, they will keep a room for you according to the amount you can afford. The rent is not expensive, its okay for students. In the rent you are entitled to free internet, water, electricity. You don’t pay any other bill.

It is a big house, housing many students in different corridors namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H corridor. Each corridor have 30 rooms. And they also have corridor living where you share kitchens with other students. And there is also private rooms where you have your kitchen and bathroom and toilet all to your self inside your room. All depends on the amount you can pay and also what you want. There is also big rooms where you can do your laundry, Sauna and also study rooms but you need to book for them before you can use it and it is totally free! Yes free Sauna!!

The house is like 10 to 15 minutes walk to the University and few minutes if you use your bicycle. You can also use the bus and the bus station is in front of the house so you don’t have to walk too long. Just 3 minutes walk!

They are always there to help you with any information you need with a cheerful smile as always so feel free to contact them. Remember they are always there to help you!

So it wasn’t difficult for me to arrange and get my apartment in Kopparstaden Bristen. I am really enjoying my room. Its not so big but it’s cool for a student. Inside the room there is a big fridge, table and chair, a cooker, a warming system, wardrobes and a student bed. I hope my information will be useful. Also every weekend students night party is organised by the students in Bristen. So it is fun fun fun all weekend(Friday, Saturday) Almost every week the students organise a football game so remember to bring your boots with you when you are coming because you will enjoy it (girls & boys)

So make sure you get a room here in Bristen and you will definitely enjoy your stay in Sweden. I said so. You can quote me. See ya.
